DIVERSe Orlando Scuba/Snorkel Canoe Trip!!!
Saturday, October 14, 2017
Join us as we cruise down the Suwannee River, Canoe style! During the trail expedition, we still stop at Troy Springs and Little River Springs for dip in the pool! Troy Springs has a large spring basin with depths to 80 feet. The visibility is great and offers many things to explore including the remnants of an old sunken Confederate steamboat. Little River Springs runs into Suwannee and looks like a natural swimming pool with a max depth of 60’ for open water divers. The sites can be snorkeled as well or you can just hang out in the canoe on the shore line. This is open to divers, non-divers, snorkelers and swimmers. The total trip will take approximately 5 hours, all depends how long we want to go. Typical trip will be about 3-5 miles long. This is a relaxing trip, bring your lunch, we will stop and eat along the trail. You must bring all your own gear including tanks & weights.
Cost is $30 per canoe for the day includes drop off & pick-up fees. Canoes can hold two people with gear. One tank per diver should be sufficient.
Email Erik Denson (edenson@cfl.rr.com) or call 407-497-4447 or register on-line by Wednesday, October 11th, if you plan to attend so we can reserve the canoes. Pay at the event on Saturday.
We will meet at the Ivey Park boat launch @10am.
